Tyson Fury has officially declared his intention to make a boxing comeback in the year 2026. This announcement comes almost a year after he initially confirmed his retirement from the sport. His decision follows a significant heavyweight clash in December 2024, where he faced Oleksandr Usyk for multiple world titles, resulting in a second points defeat.

Shortly after the December 2024 bout, Fury had publicly announced that his professional boxing career had concluded. This retirement followed an earlier instance in April 2022 where he declared his exit from the sport, only to return later the same year. Now, at 37 years old, Fury seems poised for another chapter.

Fury shared his plans on social media, posting that 2026 will be 'the year' for his return. He expressed his continued passion for the sport, stating, "Been away for a while but I'm back now, 37 years old and still punching. Nothing better to do than punch men in the face and get paid for it."
