On November 15, 2025, the Minnesota Twins announced the finalization of new manager Derek Shelton's coaching staff for the upcoming 2026 season. The Twins have brought in several new faces to support Shelton, including veteran Giants coach Mark Hallberg as the team's new bench coach.
Hallberg, 39, joins the Twins after six seasons on the San Francisco Giants' coaching staff, most recently as first base coach for the past two seasons. He also served as third base coach during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Prior to that, Hallberg spent two seasons with the Giants' Short-Season A Salem-Keizer club.
