Summary
- Twinkle Town led from start to finish in the Saratoga Special.
- The colt won by a commanding six lengths, geared down.
- Trainer Ken McPeek sees potential for longer distances later.

Four G Racing's homebred Twinkle Town secured a commanding victory in Saturday's $250,000 Saratoga Special (G2) at Saratoga Race Course. The 2-year-old colt, trained by Ken McPeek, led at every call, ultimately winning by six lengths over runner-up Booked.
Twinkle Town's performance echoed his debut win on June 27 at Churchill Downs, where he also set a pressured pace before driving clear. Jockey Jose Ortiz expertly guided the colt, allowing him to dictate the pace and respond strongly when challenged.
Trainer Ken McPeek expressed pride in the colt's performance and its connection to his prolific mare Take Charge Lady, the dam of Twinkle Town's sire, Take Charge Indy. McPeek indicated that while the colt displayed impressive speed, his future may lie in longer distances.
Looking ahead, McPeek plans to target the local $300,000 Spendthrift Farm Hopeful (G1) on September 6, with aspirations for the $500,000 Champagne (G1) on October 3 at the new Belmont Park.
