Tulane's women's track and field team is competing in the American Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship at the Birmingham Crossplex. As the defending champions and preseason favorites, the Green Wave are aiming for a repeat title over the two-day event. Live coverage will be available on ESPN+.
Competition begins Friday, February 27, with events like the pentathlon, pole vault, and weight throw. Track events include trials for the mile, 400 meters, 60 meters, 800 meters, 200 meters, and the 5,000 meters, culminating in the distance medley relay.
Saturday, February 28, features field events like the triple jump and shot put. The track events will showcase the finals for most of Friday's races. The 3,000 meters and the 4x400 relay will conclude the championship.
Last season, Tulane celebrated individual champions in the 800 meters and mile, with Reese Ragland earning third in the mile and Blezzin Kimutai taking second in the 5,000 meters. The team's coaching staff, led by Adrian Myers, was also recognized as Staff of the Year.
