However, the Pirates' recent acquisition of Jacob Gonzalez is set to alter the team's infield dynamics. Gonzalez will be starting at shortstop for the initial game of the doubleheader, indicating that Triolo may transition into a more versatile utility infield role. This marks the second time in five contests that Triolo has been kept out of the starting lineup.
