Etienne Roars Back: Jaguars Star Proves Doubters Wrong

Travis Etienne has firmly re-established himself as the Jacksonville Jaguars' premier running back. After missing his rookie season due to injury and experiencing a production dip in the 2024 season, Etienne faced speculation about a potential trade. However, he arrived at spring workouts prepared to excel in the new offensive scheme under head coach Liam Coen.

Etienne's dedication was evident as he showed up in excellent shape, invested in extra training, and quickly adapted to the playbook. While initially sharing first-team reps with Tank Bigsby, Etienne emerged as the clear starter by the season opener on September 7. He delivered an outstanding performance in the Jaguars' victory, amassing 143 rushing yards on 16 carries, including a notable 71-yard run.

This comeback season saw Etienne achieve 1,107 rushing yards and a career-high 13 touchdowns, six of which were receiving scores. His cumulative stats with the Jaguars now stand at 3,798 rushing yards and 5,136 yards from scrimmage with 32 total touchdowns over four seasons. In a significant move following Etienne's resurgence, Tank Bigsby was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles for future draft picks.
