Eduards Tralmaks' tenure with the Detroit Red Wings organization appears to be short-lived. Tralmaks, who was signed to a one-year, two-way contract for the upcoming 2025-26 season, has now signed a contract in Czechia. However, he has indicated a willingness to return to North America if an NHL opportunity presents itself. "I'll be ready, I have a signed contract in Czechia, however, if an NHL offer comes my way, I can still consider it and go back to the NHL," Tralmaks stated, noting that decisions would likely be made within the next month and a half.
During the 2025-26 season, Tralmaks played in 64 regular-season games for the Grand Rapids Griffins, the Red Wings' AHL affiliate. He finished fourth in team scoring with 26 goals and 16 assists, contributing to the Griffins' playoff berth, a first in decades for the club. His 26 goals ranked second on the team. Tralmaks also scored four goals in eight Calder Cup Playoff games. Prior to his time with the Red Wings, Tralmaks played in the Czech Extraliga with Rytíři Kladno, leading the team in scoring with 51 points. He also has prior North American experience, including playing for the University of Maine and parts of three seasons with the Providence Bruins.
