Summary
- Race moves to August, becoming Europe's final WorldTour stage race.
- Four domestic teams compete against world's best cyclists.

The Lloyds Tour of Britain Women is set to begin this Wednesday, August 19th, in the Lake District. Its rescheduled August slot makes it the final WorldTour stage race in Europe for the year. This timing also positions it as a crucial warm-up for the September world championships and offers riders a final chance for significant results.
Four domestic British teams, DAS-Hutchinson, Handsling Abla, O'Shea Red Chilli Bikes, and Smurfit Westrock, will compete. This participation was secured following a UCI rule amendment, ensuring they can race against WorldTour and ProTeams.
The race spans five stages, starting in the Lake District and moving down the coast to North Wales, through mid-Wales, and finishing in Royal Leamington Spa on Sunday, August 23rd. Organizers have designed the parcours to encourage aggressive racing.
Key riders to watch include sprinters like Lorena Wiebes and Lotte Kopecky, alongside strong contenders Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney and Paula Blasi. The race also features home favorite Zoe Bäckstedt, the British national road champion.
