Utah Standout Chooses UConn, Aims for National Title

In a significant recruiting win for the University of Connecticut, the Huskies have landed a commitment from one of the top high school basketball players in the country. Junior County, a 6'4" senior out of Wasatch Academy in Utah, has chosen to play for UConn next season.
County, who is ranked as the #35 overall player in the nation and the #5 point guard, selected the Huskies over several other top programs, including Arizona, Indiana, Maryland, and Purdue. A native of Salt Lake City, County is also the #1 player in the state of Utah.
In explaining his decision, County expressed his belief that UConn can help him develop into the best version of himself and give him a chance to compete for a national championship. He praised the coaching staff, particularly head coach Dan Hurley, for their honesty and ability to get the most out of their players.
