30 Oct
Summary
- Tom Nolan rides a five-fight win streak into his first UFC main event.
- He faces recent lightweight title challenger Renato Moicano.
- Nolan's most impressive win was a submission tap-out of Charlie Campbell.
Tom Nolan, an Australian fighter, is making significant waves in the UFC's lightweight division. He currently holds an impressive five-fight winning streak, which has earned him his first UFC main event appearance.
Nolan is scheduled to face Renato Moicano, a fighter who recently challenged for the lightweight title. Moicano stepped in as an emergency replacement for a title fight in January 2025 but was submitted in the first round. Nolan's past opponents may not carry the same name recognition as Moicano's, but his performance 13 months ago against Charlie Campbell, resulting in a submission victory, earned him his only UFC performance bonus.
The bout is set to take place at UFC Fight Night 292 at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. This fight represents Nolan's biggest opportunity to date against a seasoned UFC veteran.
