Titans Sign Veteran Defensive Tackle Josiah Bronson Ahead of Preseason

As of August 4th, 2025, the Tennessee Titans have made a move to bolster their defensive line by signing veteran defensive tackle Josiah Bronson. Bronson, who is 6-3 and 295 pounds, most recently played for the Memphis Showboats in the USFL's 2025 season.

Prior to his time in the USFL, Bronson has spent time on the active rosters and practice squads of several NFL teams, including the Saints, Browns, Cowboys, Dolphins, Patriots, and Colts. In his NFL career, he has recorded 12 tackles and a tackle for loss in eight games.

Bronson, who played college football at Temple and Washington, faces an uphill battle to make the Titans' 53-man roster out of training camp. However, his addition provides the team with valuable veteran depth along the defensive line as they prepare for the upcoming preseason and regular season.

In a corresponding move, the Titans have released defensive tackle Devonte O'Malley, who joined the team as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Illinois this spring. The decision to sign Bronson over O'Malley suggests the Titans believe the veteran can bring more to the table during training camp and the preseason.
