The Tennessee Titans have released center Cushenberry, citing a failed physical designation. This marks the end of his two-year stint with the team. Cushenberry had signed a four-year deal in 2024, making him one of the NFL's top-paid centers.
Cushenberry's recent seasons were hampered by injuries. He played only eight games in 2024 due to a torn Achilles tendon. After beginning the 2025 training camp on the physically unable to perform list, he was activated and participated in 15 games.
Additionally, defensive back Woods, who signed a two-year deal last March, had his 2025 season prematurely ended by a hamstring injury. He managed to start 11 games before the injury sidelined him. Woods recorded 39 tackles, one sack, and two interceptions last year.
