Tigers Stun Bulldogs in Wet Weather Thriller
3 Aug
Summary
- Adam Doueihi stars in Tigers' upset win
- Tigers lead 20-4 at halftime in heavy rain
- Bulldogs struggle to adapt to treacherous conditions

Just days after being linked to the St. George Illawarra Dragons, Adam Doueihi has turned on a masterclass to rain on the Canterbury Bulldogs' parade in a stunning 28-14 NRL upset at CommBank Stadium.
Doueihi, who was shifted into the halves before kick-off by Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall, was in everything in a sublime wet weather performance. The Tigers star scored a try and set up another for returning fullback Jahream Bula, as an inspired four-tries-to-one first half saw the Tigers hit the sheds with a stunning 20-4 lead.
Despite the Bulldogs scoring the first try of the second half and playing with an extra man for ten minutes when Tigers forward James Seyfarth was sin-binned, the error-prone visitors struggled to come to terms with the atrocious conditions and waterlogged playing surface. Compounding their woes, Bulldogs captain Stephen Crichton was placed on report for a high tackle.
In the end, the Tigers' character-filled defensive performance in the second half ensured they held on for a well-deserved victory in front of 17,423 fans who braved the torrential rain. The win takes the Tigers to 20 competition points on the NRL ladder, two games clear of the last-placed South Sydney Rabbitohs.
