The Detroit Tigers have bolstered their pitching staff by signing free-agent right-hander Drew Anderson to a one-year deal with a club option. Anderson spent the 2025 season in the KBO, where he achieved a remarkable 2.25 ERA over 30 starts for the SSG Landers.
This signing brings Anderson back to MLB for the first time since 2021. In his last international stint, he demonstrated strong performance, recording a 12-7 record with 245 strikeouts and only 51 walks in 171.2 innings pitched.
The Tigers aim to utilize Anderson as a starter, offering him a chance to re-establish himself in Major League Baseball. This low-risk, high-upside move provides the team with valuable depth as they continue to build their rotation.
