The Vienna Open's Round of 32 features a compelling matchup between sixth seed Frances Tiafoe and Lorenzo Musetti on October 28, 2026. Tiafoe enters the tournament with strong recent form, including a Halle Open title and a US Open semifinal appearance.
Musetti arrives in Vienna having captured the Lyon Open, marking his first ATP title in four years. His path to the title involved a dramatic semifinal where he saved four match points. This recent success, however, comes after a physically demanding run.
Tiafoe leads their head-to-head series 4-3, having won their most recent encounter in straight sets at the Cincinnati quarterfinals. Despite Musetti's recent momentum, Tiafoe is favored due to his physical freshness and previous hard-court success against him.
This ATP 500 event, held on indoor hard courts at the Wiener Stadthalle, offers $3,150,000 in prize money. The match is expected to be a close contest, with Tiafoe aiming to leverage his serve and aggressive play to advance.
