In a remarkable display of family talent, three sisters from Vadodara achieved a significant milestone by competing together at the National School Games held in New Delhi recently. Avni, 16, along with her 12-year-old twin sisters Smriti and Kashvi, showcased their prowess in the swimming pool across different age categories.
Smriti Singh earned a bronze medal in the Under-14 category's 4X100 metre medley relay. Her elder sister, Avni, achieved a top-eight finish in the Under-17 category. This achievement marks a proud moment for their parents, who have supported their rigorous training, strict diets, and unwavering determination over the years.
The sisters, who study at Poddar World School, have collectively won over 100 medals in state and national tournaments. Their coach, Vivek Singh Borliya, praised their diligence and predicted future international success, highlighting their commitment to the sport and a specially curated diet.
