Texas WR ditches Longhorns for Sooners
6 Jan
Summary
- Parker Livingstone transferred to Oklahoma from Texas.
- He was Arch Manning's roommate and Texas' third receiver.
- Livingstone cited circumstances beyond his control for leaving.

Parker Livingstone, previously Texas' third-leading receiver in 2025 and Arch Manning's roommate, has transferred to the Oklahoma Sooners. The move to Texas' biggest rival occurred just days after Livingstone announced his departure from the Longhorns, attributing it to "things (that) are out of my control."
In his second season with Texas, Livingstone caught 29 passes for 516 yards and six touchdowns. He redshirted in 2024 and still has three years of eligibility remaining. His announcement on X suggested the decision to enter the transfer portal was not entirely his own, despite a Texas source indicating an offer to stay in Austin.
Livingstone's transfer adds a significant player to the Sooners' roster ahead of the annual Red River rivalry game against Texas in Week 6 of the 2026 season.
