1 Mar
Summary
- Top receivers Emmett Mosley V and Ryan Wingo are recovering from surgeries.
- Ryan Wingo led the team with 54 catches for 834 yards and seven touchdowns.
- Texas' spring game is scheduled for April 18th, with Fan Day combined.

The Texas Longhorns are facing challenges as their two top wide receivers, Emmett Mosley V and Ryan Wingo, are both recovering from offseason surgeries. Ryan Wingo, who was the team's leading receiver last season with 54 catches for 834 yards and seven touchdowns, is addressing a wrist injury. Emmett Mosley V is on the mend from ankle surgery.
Despite these injuries, spring practices are set to commence on March 9th. The team has confirmed that their spring game will take place on April 18th, coinciding with a Fan Day event. This timing allows key players time to recover before fall camp.
If Wingo or Mosley are limited during spring ball, Kaliq Lockett and Daylan McCutcheon are positioned to step into more prominent roles. Lockett would be an option on the outside, while McCutcheon would play in the slot. Both are former highly-rated recruits.
Adding depth to the receiver corps is Auburn transfer Cam Coleman, a former five-star recruit. Coleman recorded 56 catches for 708 yards and five touchdowns last season with Auburn.
