Texas A&M's defensive coordinator, Bateman, is departing the Aggies to join the coaching staff of new Kentucky football head coach Will Stein. Bateman will continue his duties with Texas A&M through their participation in the College Football Playoff, starting with their Dec. 20 matchup against Miami.
Lyle Hemphill, currently Texas A&M's associate head coach for defense, is set to become the new defensive coordinator for the Aggies.
