Junior Ole Miss offensive tackle Terez Davis, son of former NBA player Tyree 'Ricky' Davis, is set to start at left tackle for the Rebels in the 2026 season. Davis, who is only in his fifth year playing football, began his gridiron journey as a high school junior. He credits his father for instilling confidence and humility, qualities he now applies to the football field.
Davis made the transition to the offensive line in his senior year of high school, moving from tight end. He acknowledges that while athletic ability is innate, mastering technique, film study, and coaching are paramount to success. His journey included a freshman season with Maryland in 2024, where he played in 10 games and made two starts, before transferring to Ole Miss.
His decision to join Ole Miss was influenced by offensive line coaches John Garrison and Chris James. After appearing in only four games in his first season with the Rebels in 2025, Davis remained patient and loyal to the coaching staff, opting to stay and compete for a starting role. His dedication and hard work throughout the offseason have earned him the starting left tackle position for the upcoming 2026 season, with his first start scheduled for September 6 against Louisville in Nashville.
