Real Madrid's Aurelien Tchouameni has publicly clarified a training ground altercation with teammate Fede Valverde. Tchouameni has denied punching Valverde, describing media reports as exaggerated. "A lot of nonsense was said in the press. I read that there was a fight and that I had punched him... Which wasn't the case," Tchouameni stated.
Both players were reportedly fined €500k by Real Madrid following the incident. However, Tchouameni stressed that the situation has been resolved internally and that he and Valverde remain focused on their common objective of winning titles for the club.
Club management, including then manager Alvaro Arbeloa and President Florentino Perez, expressed greater concern over the leak of the incident to the press than the altercation itself. They suggested that player disputes are not uncommon within a team's dressing room.
