Green Gets His Shot: Browns Rookie QB Debuts vs. Pats

Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Taylen Green will finally get his opportunity to play in an NFL game during the team's preseason finale against the New England Patriots on August 27th. Green, a sixth-round pick, expressed his eagerness for the upcoming nationally-televised game, calling it a "dream come true" to play for the Browns. He has not yet seen any game action through the first two preseason contests.

Coach Todd Monken announced that none of the team's starters, including recently named QB1 Deshaun Watson, will participate. Backup quarterback Shedeur Sanders also will not play, a decision made to ensure Dillon Gabriel receives significant reps. Gabriel is slated to start against the Patriots, with Green also expected to see playing time.

Green's limited preseason and training camp reps have not deterred his preparation.
