Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer recently highlighted a surprising connection between actress Sydney Sweeney's viral American Eagle advertising campaign and the remarkable athletic heritage of his former star player, Joey Bosa. The campaign, which humorously contrasted Sweeney's "great jeans" with "great genes," served as Meyer's launchpad to discuss the Bosa family's exceptional football legacy.

Meyer emphasized that Joey Bosa, a pivotal player for Ohio State's 2014 national championship team, inherited a strong athletic foundation. His father was a first-round NFL draft pick, and his uncle also played college football, with his brother Nick Bosa achieving similar first-round success. Meyer credits this lineage and Bosa's talent for significantly impacting the Buckeyes' program trajectory, believing a national title might not have been secured without him.
