As the Champions League returns, three of Europe's top strikers have been lighting up the pitch with their goal-scoring exploits. Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, and Erling Haaland have all found the net in their teams' recent league victories, extending their impressive scoring runs.
Haaland, the 25-year-old Manchester City sensation, has been unstoppable, netting 23 goals in just 13 matches across all competitions. He scored both goals in City's 2-0 win against Everton in the Premier League on Saturday and has found the back of the net at least once in all but one of his appearances for club and country this season.
Meanwhile, Kane, the 32-year-old Bayern Munich striker, has 22 goals in 14 matches, with 15 of those coming in his last eight games for Bayern and England. He scored once in Bayern's 2-1 win against Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Mbappé, the 26-year-old Real Madrid star, has 18 goals in 14 appearances for Madrid and France. He has scored nine goals in his last six games, including the winner in Madrid's 1-0 victory over Getafe in the Spanish league on Saturday. Mbappé is set to become the youngest player to make 90 appearances in the Champions League proper, surpassing former Madrid great Raúl González.
