18 Oct
Summary
- Stefon Diggs denies ordering assault on former employee Nigel King.
- King alleges Diggs accused him of responsibility for a stolen Ferrari.
- Diggs' filing requests King pay partial legal fees and limit suit claims.
Washington Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs is actively contesting claims of ordering an assault against a former employee, Nigel King. In recently filed legal documents, Diggs has challenged the accuser's assertions, stating no evidence proves he commanded an assault on December 4, 2025.
Nigel King, who identifies as a concierge for elite clients, claims he was hired by Diggs for logistics, including arranging a Ferrari shipment from Miami to York in July 2024. The luxury vehicle did not reach its destination, with King alleging third parties stole it during transit. King further claims Diggs implicated him in the theft.
King's defamation lawsuit also names Diggs' brother, Darez, and others. He alleges that associates of Diggs assaulted him at Tootsie's Cabaret in Miami on December 4, 2025, acting under the athlete's direction. Diggs is also confronting a separate sexual assault lawsuit filed by a former friend, Chris Blake Griffith.
In his filing, Diggs is seeking to limit the scope of King's lawsuit and requests that King contribute to his legal expenses. This legal maneuvering follows a series of other notable legal issues faced by the NFL player.
