The SPEED brand, a former 24-hour motorsports cable network, has been officially revived by FOX Sports as a digital program. Titled "SPEED With Harvick and Buxton," this twice-weekly show launched recently across FOX Sports and NASCAR platforms, aiming to consolidate various racing series. It will feature NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula 1, sprint cars, IMSA, NHRA, and more.
Will Buxton, known for his INDYCAR play-by-play and F1 broadcasting, is co-hosting with 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick. Harvick highlighted the show's focus on the global passion for motorsports, stating it brings together different disciplines like NASCAR, INDYCAR, and F1 to connect fans with the heart of racing.
Buxton expressed his honor in reviving the SPEED name, recalling his start at the original SPEED channel in 2010. He emphasized the emotional connection the brand holds and the responsibility to honor its legacy. The new show promises candid conversations, race recaps, fan interaction, and event previews.
Episodes are released bi-weekly on digital and social platforms, including Tubi and YouTube, with select encores on FS1. The debut episode was filmed in Charlotte, in the very studio where the original SPEED programming aired, adding a nostalgic element for both hosts, connecting the past with the present.
