The Los Angeles Sparks have waived guard Laura Ziegler, as they prepare to resume play on Monday against the Seattle Storm. Ziegler made her WNBA debut this season and appeared in three games, recording an average of 2.7 points per contest.
Forward Alissa Pili, who was selected eighth overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx and later acquired by the Sparks, is currently day-to-day. She has been attending practice and rehabbing with the team since June 4th, but has not yet received medical clearance to return to play.
Pili was signed by the Sparks after being waived by the Lynx on July 12, 2025. She initially signed multiple 7-day contracts before committing to the rest of the season. In five games with Los Angeles, Pili averaged 3.2 points, with her former college coach at Utah, Sparks head coach Lynne Roberts, noting her "unique combination of strength, skill and touch."
