Blackburn midfielder Sondre Tronstad will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a severe knee injury. The 30-year-old sustained an anterior cruciate ligament tear during the first half of Blackburn's recent match against Bristol City.
Following the incident, Tronstad has undergone reconstructive surgery. This unfortunately means he will play no further part in the current campaign.
Manager Michael O'Neill expressed his disappointment, noting that the player was clearly not himself during the first half of the Bristol City game.
