Lancashire Names Anderson Championship Captain

Lancashire County Cricket Club has announced Sir James Anderson as the new captain for their Championship side in 2026. This appointment follows a successful interim period last summer, where Anderson led the team in five matches with a positive outcome.

The legendary fast bowler, who is England's all-time leading Test wicket-taker, has committed to the club by signing a new one-year contract. At 43 years old, Anderson brings extensive experience and leadership to the role.
