Sinner Surges Ahead in Big Titles Race!

Jannik Sinner, the current World No. 1, has significantly widened his lead in the prestigious 'Big Titles' race against his main competitor, Carlos Alcaraz. Following his recent Wimbledon men's singles title defense, Sinner has now accumulated 17 'Big Titles,' which encompass Grand Slam championships, ATP Finals trophies, ATP Masters 1000 events, and Olympic gold medals. This puts him ahead of Alcaraz, who currently holds 15 such titles.

Sinner's triumph at Wimbledon represents his fifth Grand Slam championship and his first major title since his victory at the same venue last year. Remarkably, all five of his Grand Slam titles have been secured since the beginning of the 2024 season. The Italian player has been in exceptional form, winning six of the last seven 'Big Title' tournaments he has participated in, showcasing a dominant run on the ATP Tour.

The 24-year-old Italian has also made history by becoming the first player to win the opening five ATP Masters 1000 tournaments of a single season. His victories include titles at Indian Wells, Miami, Monte-Carlo, Madrid, and Rome, with the Rome win completing his Career Golden Masters. Sinner's sixth 'Big Title' of the 2026 season equals his career-best tally achieved in 2024, with six major events still to be played this year. His current success rate of winning a 'Big Title' every 4.2 tournaments is notably superior to Roger Federer's, placing him among an elite group of players with the best records in these significant events.
