Sikander Raza Backs Teen Star Sooryavanshi: Generational Talent?

Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza has publicly backed 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, envisioning him as a potential "generational talent." Raza emphasized that judging the young Indian opener after a challenging debut T20I series in England is premature. He highlighted Sooryavanshi's potential if managed correctly, noting that exceptional cricketers are rare nowadays. The young player is expected to get another opportunity in the upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, especially with Sanju Samson's unavailability.

Raza also addressed the upcoming series, asserting that Zimbabwe stands an equal chance against India. He pointed to Zimbabwe's recent impressive victories over Australia, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh as evidence of their competitive form. Raza anticipates an entertaining series, acknowledging India's potent but high-risk batting approach.
