Sienna Wareing Joins West Ham from Man Utd

West Ham United has secured the signing of highly-rated midfielder Sienna Wareing, who joins from Manchester United. Wareing spent seven years with Manchester United, developing her skills after joining following a successful trial. Her football journey began at Mill Hill Juniors and included a spell with Blackburn Rovers.

During the 2025/26 season, Wareing earned the Manchester United Academy U21 Player of the Year award. She was instrumental in the Red Devils' Professional Game Academy Plate victory, scoring the decisive goal in the final against Durham and receiving the Player of the Match award.

Wareing also gained experience on loan at Liverpool Feds for the latter half of last season, making six appearances. Her strong performances led to a maiden call-up to the Young Lionesses, where she represented England U19s three times in the 2026 UEFA Women's U19 European Championship qualifiers.

In a significant move, West Ham announced that Wareing has signed a contract with the club that extends until 2029. Wareing expressed her delight, stating, "I'm absolutely delighted to sign for West Ham United. The conversations I had with Rita [Guarino] and the staff really made me feel welcome and I can't wait to carry on my development here."

Head coach Rita Guarino praised Wareing, remarking, "Sienna is a player that we believe has a lot of potential. She is a creative midfielder who can make things happen in the final third." Wareing's signing is a boost for West Ham, who finished 10th in the WSL last season.
