Holloway Lands "Everything Guard" Del Jones

Seton Hall basketball coach Shaheen Holloway is prioritizing experience and production in his roster building, evidenced by the addition of transfer guard Del Jones. Jones, a 6-foot-3 sophomore from Maryland, was a standout at Radford University, where he earned second-team All-Big South honors. He averaged 17.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game during his sophomore season. Jones demonstrated his scoring ability in key games, including a 23-point performance against High Point and 22 points against North Carolina.

Previously, Jones was a freshman role player for Clemson's NCAA Tournament squad, contributing 3.8 points and 1.0 assist per game. His acquisition by Seton Hall raises questions about his role, potentially as a replacement for point guard Budd Clark. However, Jones is seen as more of a combo guard, and his fit may depend on other roster movements, such as the decision of point guard Trey Parker.

Seton Hall had previously shown interest in Jones during the last offseason. His addition aligns with Holloway's strategy of carrying multiple ball-handling guards.
