Senegal's Cup of Nations Win Contested?

Senegal, a formidable African team, is preparing for the World Cup amidst ongoing controversy surrounding their Africa Cup of Nations final victory. The Teranga Lions initially secured the win on the field against host nation Morocco. However, the match was marked by a disputed penalty awarded to the hosts, which led to a temporary walk-off by the Senegalese team.

CAF subsequently overturned the initial result of the final match, although an appeal process could potentially alter this decision once more. Regardless, Senegal is set to begin a new chapter at the World Cup. Their qualification was exceptional, marked by an unbeaten campaign where they won seven out of ten matches, scoring 22 goals while conceding a mere three.
