Seahawks Host Winless Chargers in Crucial Home Game
4 Oct
Summary
- Seahawks return home after split road trip to face winless Chargers.
- Rookie RB Jadarian Price out with chest injury; other backs to play.
- Justin Herbert's Chargers offense needs a spark, averaging low points.
The Seattle Seahawks (2-1) return to Lumen Field for a crucial home game against the Los Angeles Chargers (0-3), who are still seeking their first win of the season. This contest marks a homecoming for Seattle after a challenging two-game road trip. The Seahawks are considered favorites, aiming to rebound from a recent loss. They will welcome back safety Julian Love, who missed the previous game due to calf tightness, and Ty Okada may make his debut after recovering from a hamstring injury.
However, the Seahawks will be without rookie running back Jadarian Price, who has been placed on injured reserve with a chest injury. This situation means Emanuel Wilson and George Holani will carry the load in the backfield, as Zach Charbonnet is not yet ready to return. The Chargers, led by quarterback Justin Herbert, have struggled offensively, averaging only 46 points through their first three games. They will need their offense to perform against a strong Seahawks defense, despite a recent game where they forced five turnovers but still lost.
