- McIntosh was competing for No. 3 RB spot behind Walker III and Charbonnet
- Rookie Damien Martinez and 2nd-year player George Holani now candidates for No. 3 RB role

In a setback for the Seattle Seahawks, the team has placed rookie running back Kenny McIntosh on injured reserve due to a torn ACL that will require surgery. McIntosh, who was selected by the Seahawks in the 2023 NFL Draft, was competing for the team's No. 3 running back spot behind Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet.
The injury occurred during Saturday's practice, and Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald expressed his disappointment, stating, "It's obviously really unfortunate. We love Kenny. But it's an ACL. What he needs from us is our support, our prayers. It's going to be a tough road, but he's the man for the job. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, but he's going to need our help."
With McIntosh sidelined, the Seahawks will now look to rookie Damien Martinez and second-year player George Holani as potential candidates to fill the No. 3 running back role. The team has also signed rookie D.K. Kaufman, who previously played safety in college, to fill the open spot on the 90-man roster.
