- Seahawks EDGE Derick Hall recorded 8 sacks in 2024 after 0 as a rookie
- Hall overpowered a 339-pound offensive tackle in a recent training camp practice

In the 2023 NFL season, Seahawks EDGE Derick Hall recorded zero sacks as a rookie. However, the former Auburn standout experienced a breakout campaign in 2024, accumulating 8 sacks. Now, as he enters his third year in the league, Hall is looking to build on that success.
This past weekend, Hall made one of the most eye-catching plays of Seahawks training camp. During a practice session, the 23-year-old pass rusher overpowered reserve offensive tackle Josh Jones, a 339-pound lineman, with a display of sheer strength. Hall's dominant rep lifted Jones into the air and onto his backside, leaving onlookers stunned.
Veteran defensive tackle Jarran Reed, who was nearby during the play, was impressed by Hall's display. "I had to get out the way because when he threw him, he threw him right in the path we were rushing," Reed told reporters. "It was pretty sweet. It looks even better on film, too."
Head coach Mike Macdonald praised the intensity and competition of the practice, saying, "It's the right mix of, hey, we're getting after it but we're taking care of one another, we're sharpening each other, talking some smack."
