Super Bowl Champ Miller Tries Out for Bears
9 May
Summary
- Scotty Miller, a Super Bowl winner, is trying out with the Bears.
- Miller played for the Steelers last year, catching nine passes.
- Bears also signed four draft picks and thirteen undrafted free agents.

Scotty Miller, a wide receiver with a Super Bowl ring from the 2020 Buccaneers, is attending the Chicago Bears' rookie minicamp this weekend. Miller, who will turn 29 on July 31, has an opportunity to join the team, as the Bears have added limited proven receiving talent alongside Rome Odunze and Luther Burden. However, Miller's production has been modest in recent years, with only nine catches for 62 yards in 13 games for the Steelers last season.
Miller spent his initial four seasons with Tampa Bay, followed by a stint with the Falcons and two years with the Steelers. His involvement on special teams has been minimal over the past two seasons. He previously played under Bears receivers coach Antwaan Randle El when Randle El was an assistant with the Buccaneers in 2020. Bears coach Matt Eberflus noted shared experiences between Miller and his staff.
In related news, the Bears announced on Friday the signing of their final four draft picks: receiver Zavion Thomas, cornerback Malik Muhammad, linebacker Keyshaun Elliott, and defensive lineman Jordan van den Berg, to standard four-year rookie contracts. Additionally, the team confirmed the signings of 13 undrafted free agents, bolstering their roster across various positions.
