The PGA Tour has unveiled its 2026 season schedule, set to commence with The Sony Open in Hawaii on January 15. This upcoming season will encompass 38 events, spanning five countries and including all four major championships, alongside signature and co-sanctioned tournaments, concluding in September.
World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler described the condensed calendar as a "pretty quick season" and a "sprint." While he remains supportive of the PGA Tour, Scheffler acknowledged that he has not yet finalized his personal schedule for the next year, emphasizing the importance of rest.
Scheffler, who recently matched Tiger Woods' record by winning his fourth consecutive Jack Nicklaus award, concluded the official FedEx Cup season in August. He then participated in and won the Procore Championship as part of the FedEx Fall series, and most recently tied for fourth at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas.
