One such player is Al Hilal's veteran captain, Salem Al Dawsari. Now 34 years old, Al Dawsari is showing no signs of slowing down, having just enjoyed the best campaign of his career in 2024-25. Despite Al Hilal finishing as runners-up to champions Al Ittihad, it was not for lack of effort and output from their talismanic leader, who scored 15 goals and provided 15 assists in the league alone, with 27 goals and 18 assists across all competitions.
Elsewhere, 23-year-old Al Johani has been making waves, both in the Roshn Saudi League and the AFC Champions League. His impressive performances for Al Ahli last season earned him a first call-up to the Saudi national team, as the central midfielder continues to develop into a key player for club and country.
Another young talent to keep an eye on is Abdulmalik Al Oyayari. The 21-year-old defender-cum-midfielder has joined the ambitious NEOM SC for their debut Roshn Saudi League campaign, having impressed during a breakout season with Al Taawoun last year.
