San Diego Scores 2028 Olympic Soccer Hosting Duty

San Diego is preparing to host 11 soccer matches for the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympic Games. These games will be held at Snapdragon Stadium, which will operate under the name San Diego Stadium for the duration of the event due to sponsorship conflicts. The schedule includes group stage matches for both the women's tournament on July 11, 14, and 17, followed by a women's quarterfinal on July 21.

The Olympic soccer tournament will feature 16 women's teams and 12 men's teams. Semifinal matches for both genders are scheduled for July 24-25, culminating in the bronze medal games for men and women on July 27-28. The tournament begins July 10 and concludes July 30, preceding the Paralympic Games. The 2028 L.A. Games will encompass 36 sports in total.
