Saints Rookie QB Rattler Earns Starting Nod for Season Opener

In a move that could signal a potential turnaround for the New Orleans Saints, first-year head coach Kellen Moore has named Spencer Rattler as the team's starting quarterback for the 2025 season opener on September 7th. Rattler, a 2024 5th-round draft pick, is set to take the reins of the Saints' offense after an impressive offseason that saw him beat out Tyler Shough and Jake Haener for the top job.

Despite going winless in six starts as a rookie last fall, Rattler has apparently convinced Moore of his ability to lead the team. "He's just been consistent.
