- Kings begin 2026-27 season with a 0-4 record.
The Sacramento Kings are facing a challenging start to their 2026-27 NBA season, currently holding a 0-4 record and ranking among the league's worst in both offensive and defensive ratings.
Amidst the team's struggles, center Domantas Sabonis is delivering a stellar performance, silencing doubts from his injury-plagued previous season. He is averaging 19.0 points, 16.5 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game, while also leading the NBA in rebounds per game. This resurgence highlights his status as a premier big man.
While the Kings contemplate their future, Sabonis' current form raises his trade value. Despite being a crucial player for the team's development, there's speculation he could be traded by the February trade deadline, especially as his contract expires after the 2027-28 season.
