No. 10 BYU is off to a strong 3-0 start, establishing themselves as the top-ranked team in the Big 12 and one of five conference schools in the AP top 20. Legendary coach Nick Saban recently lauded BYU as the most impressive Big 12 team so far this season.
Saban specifically noted quarterback Bear Bachmeier's development into a more effective and efficient passer, while also acknowledging the team's potent rushing attack and stout defense. Bachmeier, a sophomore, is showing a more balanced offensive approach this year, capable of punishing defenses with his arm.
The Cougars' dominant rushing game has been effective in all their games. However, BYU faces its most significant challenge to date on Saturday in a road conference game against TCU. Despite TCU's team struggles, their defense has been formidable, consistently limiting opponents' scoring.
BYU aims to validate the high expectations set by figures like Nick Saban as they prepare for this crucial matchup against TCU.
