Summary
- Assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate has resigned from Team India.
- He is expected to join the Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2027.
- Ten Doeschate previously coached KKR and played for them.

Ryan ten Doeschate has resigned from his position as assistant coach for Team India after the recent tour of Ireland and England. He informed the BCCI of his decision while in the UK, where India concluded their series losses.
It is understood that Ten Doeschate will transition to a coaching role with the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ahead of the 2027 season. This marks a return for the former Netherlands all-rounder, who had previously worked with KKR.
Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir had brought Ten Doeschate into the coaching setup after the T20 World Cup 2024. The pair have a history of collaboration, having previously worked together at KKR.
Ten Doeschate served KKR as a player between 2011 and 2015. He later joined their coaching staff for the 2022 season and remained with the team until their title win in 2024.
He is the second coaching staff member to move from the Indian team to KKR recently. Abhishek Nayar, who had joined the Indian backroom staff concurrently, had his contract terminated in April 2025 and subsequently returned to KKR.
