Rollins championed literacy by pledging to donate a book for every point scored during the season, resulting in over 1,000 books for Milwaukee Public Schools. He also engaged with students through the Bucks' Rhymes with Reason program, fostering confidence and vocabulary development.
His commitment extends to justice-impacted youth, exemplified by hosting a Friendsgiving event at the Vel R. Phillips Youth and Family Justice Center. Rollins also supported youth from Camp Reunite through the 'Shop with a Buck' event, ensuring joy and dignity.
Furthermore, Rollins actively promoted inclusive basketball by participating in a wheelchair basketball clinic. He also supported education and leadership programs for underserved youth in Detroit. Plans are underway for a youth basketball clinic in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
Named in honor of NBA legend Bob Lanier, the award recognizes players for their positive community impact. Monthly winners receive the David Robinson Trophy, while the offseason winner receives the Bob Lanier Trophy.
