Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans are set to battle for the top position in the IPL 2026 points table when they meet at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday, May 9. Both teams are currently level with 12 points, making this encounter crucial for seizing the lead.
Gujarat Titans, led by Shubman Gill, have found their stride, securing three successive victories, including a win against the defending champions. Their assistant coach, Parthiv Patel, expressed confidence in their bowling strategy to restrict opponents.
The Royals, however, have had a more turbulent campaign, with their performance fluctuating and captain Riyan Parag recently involved in an off-field controversy regarding 'vaping'. Despite this, Parag remains focused on team performance over individual scores.
