- Ronaldo seeks his first major trophy with Al Nassr.
Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to action for Al Nassr after a period of protest regarding the club's financial backing. He marked his comeback by scoring just 18 minutes after rejoining the team. The club's coach, Jorge Jesus, has stated his objective is to reduce the difference in titles and points between Al Nassr and their rivals, Al Hilal.
Jesus acknowledged that Al Hilal possesses greater economic power, which is a challenge Al Nassr must overcome. Despite this, Al Nassr is currently second in the Saudi Pro League, trailing the leaders Al Hilal by a single point. This marks a significant improvement compared to recent seasons where the team finished much further behind.
Ronaldo, who arrived at Al Nassr in December 2022, is still striving to win his first major trophy with the club. He has been the league's top scorer in the past two seasons and is currently the second-highest scorer this season.
