Ex-NHL Star Ron Duguay Hospitalized After Fainting

Former NHL star Ron Duguay was recently hospitalized after fainting at home. His daughter, Shay Thomas, shared that the incident stemmed from severe dehydration and complications related to his liver cancer treatment. Duguay's treatment, including surgery and chemotherapy, has reportedly caused pressure within his liver, leading to varices, portal hypertensive gastropathy, internal bleeding, and an ulcer.

He is currently admitted to the hospital and undergoing blood transfusions. Duguay, who publicly shared his cancer diagnosis earlier this year, had previously undergone surgeries to remove his appendix and gallbladder. A GoFundMe campaign was initiated by his family to help manage the significant financial costs associated with his ongoing battle with cancer.
