Roma's Champions League Dream on the Line vs Fiorentina
4 May
Summary
- Roma seeks a crucial win to secure Champions League qualification.
- Fiorentina is unbeaten in seven league matches, having staved off relegation.
- Key midfielders Lorenzo Pellegrini and Moise Kean are sidelined with injuries.
Roma faces Fiorentina in a critical Serie A match where Champions League qualification is on the line. A victory is essential for Roma to close the four-point gap on Juventus and secure a top-four finish for the first time since the 2017/18 season.
Despite a recent 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona, Roma has shown strength at home, remaining undefeated in league matches at Stadio Olimpico since November. However, they will need to overcome the challenge posed by a Fiorentina side that has been difficult to beat recently.
Fiorentina, having secured their league safety, enters the match on an impressive seven-game unbeaten streak. They aim to avenge an earlier season defeat to Roma and will be looking to frustrate their hosts, who are missing key midfielders Lorenzo Pellegrini and Moise Kean due to injuries.
